About Us

Punto Italian Kitchen is a modern casual hospitality business situated in the Heart of Heaton with the goal of bringing people together in an experience of Italian Hospitality.

We make everything fresh, from scratch. From handmade fresh pasta and hand-stretched wood-fired 72 hour-aged sourdough pizza, right through to desserts, gelato and sorbetto, and other delicious modern and classic Italian Dishes.

More About the Role – Front of House Team

Reporting to the manager on shift, you will help look after our customers and delivery the 5 Star service Punto Italian Kitchen has become known for.

Specific responsibilities will include although will not be limited to:

• Greeting & Seating Customers, and Taking Orders
• Being an ambassador for the brand
• Preparing & Serving Drinks with speed and accuracy
• Serving Food from our Kitchen & Pizzeria Section
• Checking back with customers
• Following brand guidelines on customer service and satisfaction
• Ensuring customers have the best experience
• Carrying out start of shift and end of shift clean downs
• Stocking fridges and bar area
• Follow any reasonable requests given by the management team

Requirements – Front of House Team

• Demonstrable experience in the restaurant industry – preferably within casual dining and food service (not including fast food or bar only work).
• A keen eye for detail, always looking and more importantly ‘seeing’ what’s happening on the floor.
• Passionate about good quality fresh food and taking pride in what we do as a team
• Drive for delivering excellent customer service and an outstanding customer experience
• Excellent eye for cleanliness and hygiene, from polishing glasses to pristinely sparkling cutlery, we have exceptionally high standards
• Good interpersonal communication skills

The Package

• Full Time & Part Time Roles Available with hours of between 20 & 45 hours per week with overtime available.
• From £9.00 to £12.00 per hour depending on experience PLUS TIPS – Our current team regularly earn up to £400 per month, that could add up to an extra £4,800 per year!

Additional

You will be employed on a permanent contract for either full time or part time hours. We prefer not to use zero hours contracts but will consider them under certain circumstances if and only if they provide the best fit for everyone.

Student workers are welcome but we’re ideally looking for people who want to work in hospitality as their career choice.

Evening & Weekend work is required regularly including bank holidays although we do endeavour to ensure the team have the opportunity to have at least one weekend off per month if required.
